didžiausiojo palankumo statusas statusas T sritis Politika apibrėžtis Tarptautinės prekybos principas, nustatantis, kad tarpusavio prekybai valstybių taikomų muitų mokesčių ir kitų ribojimų lygis bus toks, koks taikomas kitiems palankiausiai traktuojamiems prekybos partneriams. Ši prekybinių santykių nuostata nereikalauja visiškai panaikinti muitų, kartu skatina liberalizuoti prekybą ir padeda išvengti uždarų prekybinių blokų susidarymo. Nuostata grindžiama PPO veikla, ja siekiama, kad visos organizacijos šalys taikytų tarpusavio prekybai didžiausiojo palankumo statusą. Tačiau aplinkybė, kad kurios nors PPO šalys gali susitarti prekiauti dar palankesnėmis sąlygomis negu nustato organizacija, reiškia, kad didžiausiojo palankumo statuso sąvoka šiame kontekste virsta savo priešybe. Šalys, kurios neturi papildomų prekybos susitarimų ir prekiauja pagal PPO suderėtas taisykles, iš tikrųjų naudojasi mažiausiojo palankumo statusu. Jų prekybos sąlygos palankesnės palyginti su šalių, kurios nėra PPO narės. Didžiausiojo palankumo statuso principas, nediskriminacija ir besąlygiškas abipusiškumas yra pagrindas įvertinti ekonominės elgsenos teisėtumą. atitikmenys: angl. most-favoured nation
